Igor Barbosa decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida lands the left hand.
Muerte tries to clinch up
and Machida counters with a slapping leg kick.
Machida feints and then cracks Muerte's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Muerte down.
Machida lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown by Muerte or perhaps it was just good defense by Machida which made him look bad.
Thiago Muerte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machida connects with an inside leg kick.

Machida circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Muerte to the canvas! Muerte doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Machida keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
