The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penitent Man lands with a nice combination. Charms backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Lucky Charms has been cut.

Charms looks to land a combination but Penitent Man avoids it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Charms on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Charms shoots in for a double leg but Penitent Man sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penitent Man slaps away a takedown attempt from Charms, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Penitent Man lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Charms is looking to clinch but Penitent Man is avoiding it.

Charms gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Penitent Man could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Penitent Man uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lucky Charms's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Reichle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
