Rotten takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Fajardo has chosen Perry Mason as his entrance music. Jake Sheilds had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Samuel throws a right hand that Alexander ducks under and follows up with a left that Alexander also avoids with ease.
Alexander throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Samuel shoots in for a takedown but Alexander shows good takedown defense.

Samuel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Alexander was covering up waiting for the punch and Samuel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Samuelis looking to pass into half guard but Alexander pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Alexander is in guard.

Willis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kendrick Lamar - HiiiPower. Nunes has chosen Never Be Alone as his entrance music. Evangelista Nunes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Matthews tries to clinch up but de Souza circles away and keeps his distance.

Matthews is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! de Souza lets go of the hold and Matthews can pop his arm back in it's socket.
