The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Penitent Man!
The Penitent Man seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penitent Man lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cavity could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The crowd cheers as Penitent Man lands an impressive looking overhand right. Cavity doesn't seem phased though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Penitent Man throws a lazy right hand but Cavity sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fighters circling - Penitent Man throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Cavity throws a sloppy head kick and Penitent Man moves out of range easily.
Penitent Man cracks Cavity with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Cavity falls to his knees and Penitent Man doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Rhea is looking to sinch up a triangle. Quinton throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Rhea's body to avoid the submission. Rhea has instead reached around Quinton's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Rhea arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Rooney lands a really nice looking cross but Grant seems unphased.

It looks like Madison Grant has been cut.
Rooney doesn't manage to clinch there - Grant circles away.
Grant should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Rooney is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Grant scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rooney might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Grant is working for a submission of some sort.

Cleaver slips a jab from Rickson.

Cleaver drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Cleaver wants to control from the top but Rickson keeps moving.
Cleaver working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cleaver throws a big right hand that misses.
Cleaver postures up in Rickson's guard and throws a big left but Rickson blocks it.

Cleaver drops back looking for a leg! Rickson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rickson manages to kick Cleaver off! Cleaver jumps back into Rickson's guard.

Cleaver distracts Rickson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Cleaver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cleaver won't allow Rickson to get back to his feet.
Cleaver slips nicely into half guard.
Rickson is staying active underneath Cleaver, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cleaver is looking for a kimura here.

Cleaver wants to work for an arm triangle but Rickson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
