The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Womack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bulba was covering up waiting for the punch and Womack finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bulba working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Womack doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Womack manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bulba is looking for a triangle here but Womack uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Womack goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bulba has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Womack but great work by Bulba.

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Bobby Sands has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bobby Sands seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Sands!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 56 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lei looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sands dodges the punch combination from Lei.
Frito Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lei takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sands takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Bobby Sands has been cut.
Lei is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sands throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lei.
Sands takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sands comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sands shoots in and drives through. Lei sprawls well.
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch but Sands swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lei, right into the meat.

Sands shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee warns Lei that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sands throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lei because Sands loaded up on that one.
Lei really wants to buck Sands off and get back to his feet.
Lei wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sands.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lei is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Sands working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
BOOM! Sands connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lei is trying to stand up.
Sands working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Sands landing strikes, looking to finish!
Sands pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lei is rocked!
Sands unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Lei wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Sands celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
