Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Zuhelke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Zuhelke struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

I think McNutt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Warrior's Call. Spend has chosen Make it Nasty, Tyga as his entrance music. Jesse Spend is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McNutt.
Spend feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNutts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McNutt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jesse Spend seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McNutt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Spend throws a leg kick but McNutt moved away.
McNutt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tage McNutt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Spend. No joy for McNutt on that attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Spend feints and then cracks McNutt's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McNutt down.

McNutt has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McNutt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
McNutt advances position into side control!
McNutt throwing strikes but Spend manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Spend remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Spend has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Let's hope that Spend has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Spend's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesse Spend was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Nice body punch from Spend.
Spend cracks the inside of McNutt's front leg.
Good work by McNutt as he checks the leg kick.
McNutt shoots in looking for a takedown but Spend manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McNutt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Spend fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McNutt.
Jesse Spend seems to be getting the better of the standup.

McNutt throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Spend tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McNutt is in Spend's guard.

Spend cracks McNutt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
McNutt shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spend as he avoids it easily.
McNutt tries to clinch up but Spend circles away and keeps his distance.
McNutt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Spend throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

McNutt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spend gets back to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McNutt wants to take a breather but Spend is having none of it.
McNutt not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
McNutt is just content to waste time from the top position. Spend takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Spend working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McNutt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McNutt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
