The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dempsey stuns Anubis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Perseus throws an overhand right that lands on Derka's shoulder, as Derka tries to avoid the shot.

Perseus decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Perseus is looking for a kimura but Derka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Perseus to get the leverage.
Derka is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
