The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klasky shoots in but Stout avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stout tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Klasky swivels and escapes.
Stout looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Klasky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Stout counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Klasky!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Stout tries to control but Klasky wriggling away.

Stout gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Klasky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stout is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Klasky postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stout is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Klasky, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stout wants to stand but Klasky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Klasky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stout defends it easily.

Stout on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Stout tries to get out of the position.

Stout pushes Klasky off looking to stand but Klasky dives back in and keeps control.

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman-Metallica. Chris James struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Oliver shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches James napping and manages to drive through into side control!
James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
James is being controlled here.

Oliver is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Oliver wants to control but James is keeping him busy.
Oliver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Oliver is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. James looks calm but he's in trouble here. Oliver gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. James is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Oliver lets go of the hold and James can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

No joy there for Poindexter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cass shoots in for a takedown but Poindexter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cass gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Poindexter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Poindexter tries to pull guard but Cass holds him up against the cage and eventually Poindexter drops back down to his feet.

Cass has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Poindexter uses from the top position.

Cass should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
