The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Spartan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Spartan is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Spartan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Silva is pushing Spartan's head away, looking to escape. Spartan manages to hold on to the position though.
Spartan tries to score with some ground and pound. Silva controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Silva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Silva is trying to stand up here but Spartan is controlling him well.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spartan was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Spartan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice shot lands for Spartan.

and Spartan comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Silva stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Spartan is on him like rabid pit bull! Silva slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
