Phillips misses with a two punch combination.
Phillips defending well as Han loads up on a big left hand.
Phillips slips under a jab from Han.
Phillips looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Han thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice uppercut lands for Phillips. That snapped Han's head back.
Phillips misses with a double jab.
Phillips misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Phillips misses the shot to the body.
Phillips throws a right and a left that both miss.
Han throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Han slips a jab and a cross from Phillips.
Benny Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Han does no damage.
Phillips misses with a hook. Han ducked under it nicely.
A nice inside leg kick there by Han. That's going to slow Phillips down.
Han lands with a thumping leg kick.
Han uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Phillips.
Han thuds his shin into the meat of Phillips's side.

Phillips rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Han moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Phillips is rocked!
Phillips is aggressively charging in as Han backs up avoiding any damage. Han tosses out a jab and Phillips runs right into it face first! Phillips is out cold! Han dropped down on all fours and is barking in Phillips's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velka slips under a jab.
Tapio blocks a head kick by Velka.

Velka looks for the body kick but Tapio saw that one coming.
Velka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Tapio manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tapio looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Velka is fending him off so far but Tapio persists. Nope, Velka circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Velka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tapio misses with a kick to the body.

Velka is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

It looks like Miklo Velka has been cut.
Velka scores with a hook.
Tapio scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Tapio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velka.
Velka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight stays on the outside here - Velka looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Velka throws a wild body kick that Tapio sees coming a mile off.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tapio tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tapio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tapio wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Velka, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tapio is looking to take a break and control but Velka is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Tapio tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tapio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Velka is not content to let Tapio control the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tapio is trying to get an arm triangle but Velka is defending well.

Tapio wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Velka, who protects the arm well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tapio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velka keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kostaja misses with a takedown attempt - Kharitonov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kharitonov is breathing heavily.
Kostaja lands a glancing blow to the side of Kharitonov's head.

It looks like Boris Kharitonov has been cut.

Kostaja clinches.
Kharitonov misses with a short punch on the inside.
Kostaja misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kostaja manages to pull guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kostaja bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kharitonov's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kostaja accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kostaja throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Kharitonov has his hands clasped together but Kostaja breaks the hold and Kharitonov is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Kostaja!
