The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Verdasco momentarily.
Gleik Verdasco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Verdasco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rodriguez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Verdasco wants to stand but Rodriguez is controlling his arm.
Verdasco works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Rodriguez sneaks out the side door and pushes Verdasco away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pansen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Arona was covering up waiting for the punch and Pansen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pansen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pansen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Litwin can do anything to dispel that myth.
