The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silva throws a series of punches but Hurtado moves out of range.
Hurtado closes the distance looking to clinch
and Silva finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Hurtado closes the distance but Silva moves to the side
and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Hurtado.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva drops Hurtado with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hurtado looks back up at him and smiles so Silva waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Hurtado is rocked!
It looks like Rodrigo Hurtado has been cut.
Silva cracks Hurtado's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hurtado slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Silva can do further damage! This one is done, son!
