That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bill Carson.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Gardner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mal Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reynolds.
Reynolds has his takedown stuffed
and Gardner counters with a left to the body.
Gardner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reynolds manages to avoid it.

Reynolds pushes Gardner up against the cage in a clinch.

Reynolds is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gardner can't fight it off and eventually Reynolds manages to take the fight to the floor. Gardner looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gardner is pressed up against the cage. Reynolds has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gardner down to the mat. Gardner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luke Gardner.
I think Reynolds has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
