Undercard bout

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evander Tripp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hokey Smeinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tripp comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Company - The Nine. Smeinen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Far Away. Smeinen has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smeinen throws a push kick but Tripp slaps the foot to one side.
Smeinen looks gassed!
Tripp lands a nice hook to Smeinen's body. Smeinen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Tripp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tripp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smeinen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd cheers as Crawford lands an impressive looking overhand right. Finkelstein doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Freddie Finkelstein has been cut.

Finkelstein takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crawford lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Finkelstein head around and knocks him out cold! Crawford hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Putkimies lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Karate up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Putkimies from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Karate's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Demetrious Bingham.
