The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iaquinta rushes Hawke and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Iaquinta misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hawke tries a knee to the head but Iaquinta blocks it.
Iaquinta tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Iaquinta turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Iaquinta manages to end up in side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Iaquinta trying to control the position but Hawke is working away.
Iaquinta has knee on belly momentarily but Hawke bucks him off and regains half guard.
Still in half guard, Iaquinta seems content to control.

Hawke is looking to stand up but Iaquinta isn't so interested in that idea.
Iaquinta throws an elbow that misses. Hawke uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Iaquinta's guard. Nice move by Hawke!

Dodson is looking to get back to is feet but Lopez passes into side control.

Lopez stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Dodson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lopez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dodson gets caught napping as Lopez dives in and scores a takedown. Dodson manages to retain guard.
Dodson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dodson is looking to stand up but Lopez isn't so interested in that idea.

Dodson is stalling here. Lopez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dodson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lopez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Dick gets in close and tags Hallman with a short punch that almost sends Hallman to the mat! Oh Hallman is in big trouble! He turns his back on Dick, trying to create some distance but Dick rushes him, striking wildly and Hallman goes down! The referee tackles Dick into the cage to end the fight! Dick is one violent man!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Luciano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by my butthole. Luciano has chosen Show Goes on...Violin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Oooooh!!! Luciano has knocked Hunt down with a huge combo! Luciano steps away and waves a wobbly Hunt back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Hunt is rocked!

It looks like Nathan Hunt has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Luciano just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Hunt has gone limp and this one is over!

As Charlie Luciano got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: You know i expected him to come in here and swing skillfully at me, so i planned to do mostly the same thing with a few counters here and there. Ran Caleb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caleb cracks Darden with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Darden wants to take a breather but Caleb manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Darden.

Caleb will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Caleb lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Darden circles away quickly and effectively.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
