And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Bennett!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coulter misses with a takedown
and Bennett counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Coulter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Coulter ducks under a wild hook from Bennett.
Bennett getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Bennett misses with the combination.
A punch combination from Bennett misses.
Bennett throws a nice looking combination but Coulter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Coulter shoots for a double leg takedown but Bennett sprawls well. He's pushed Coulter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bennett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Coulter shoots for a takedown but Bennett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gage Coulter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bennett swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Coulter.
Coulter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bennett defends it nicely.
Coulter is breathing heavily.

Coulter moves forwards but Bennett connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bennett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coulter circles away quickly and effectively.
Coulter is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bennett misses with an uppercut.
Coulter moves out of range of the body kick from Bennett.
Bennett misses with a series of wild punches.
Bennett scores with a hook.
Bennett throws a head kick that misses.
Bennett digs a good hook to Coulter's body.
A right-left combo lands from Bennett.
Coulter shoots in looking for a takedown. Bennett tries to sprawl out of it but Coulter keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Bennett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Coulter walks into a stiff left hand from Bennett.

Coulter gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bennett might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coulter dodges the punch combination from Bennett.
Bennett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bennett misses with a head kick.
Bennett throws a combination. Coulter tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Coulter shoots in and drives through. Bennett sprawls well.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Coulter. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bennett jabs Coulter right on the nose. Coulter blinks but takes it well.

Bennett lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bennett lands a really nice looking cross but Coulter seems unphased.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bennett, as that shot connected.

Coulter fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bennett connects with a looping right hand.
Bennett swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bennett connects with a jab.
Bennett throws a nice looking combination but Coulter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bennett scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Coulter is rocked!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bennett tests Coulter's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Oh Coulter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bennett feints with a jab and clips Coulter right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Coulter is sent crashing into the canvas and Bennett leaps in for the kill! Coulter tries to get to his feet but Bennett is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Coulter is in need of a savior and steps in!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Tyson wants to control from the top but Lindberg keeps moving.
Tyson stays in close to Lindberg's body and controls the position.
Lindberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tyson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lindberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fei Chi Song shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fei Chi Song was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Fei Chi Song throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Franklin manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Franklin, under a barage of strikes from Fei Chi Song.
Franklin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Franklin.
Franklin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nice strikes from Franklin there.
Franklin with the ground and pound but Fei Chi Song uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Franklin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Franklin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Franklin distracts Fei Chi Song with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fei Chi Song had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Franklin defends it easily.

Franklin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fei Chi Song has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Franklin has managed to get both his arms back between Fei Chi Song's legs - danger averted.
Franklin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
