Steenbergen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Porunov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Porunov advances position into side control!
Porunov tries to score with some ground and pound. Steenbergen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Steenbergen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Porunov on the ground.

Porunov is trying to get an arm triangle but Steenbergen is defending well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Porunov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Steenbergen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Porunov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Porunov throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Steenbergen has his hands clasped together but Porunov breaks the hold and Steenbergen is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Porunov!

Cardona closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lotion's guard.
Cardona looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lotion is controlling Cardona 's posture.
Lotion bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cardona 's guard.

Lotion is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cardona is just riding it out for now. Lotion eventually gives up the hold.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitali Zaitsef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernell Samack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaitsef kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mother Puncher - Mastodon. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
