The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slide closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jones to the mat! Jones manages to get full guard.
Slide trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Jones keeping moving, preventing Slide from controlling successfully.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to sweep here but Slide controlling him for the moment.

Slide trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Slide is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.
