The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrotface throws a leg kick
and McRedd counters with a big head kick but Parrotface shrugs it off.
McRedd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parrotface as he avoids it easily.
Parrotface is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Parrotface tries to close the distance and clinch up but McRedd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McRedd misses with an uppercut.
McRedd checks the leg kick nicely there.

McRedd forces Parrotface back against the cage and clinches.

McRedd decides to pull guard.
Parrotface trying to control but McRedd is working from the bottom.
Parrotface throwing strikes from guard but McRedd blocks nicely.
Parrotface must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Parrotface drops back, looking for a kneebar! McRedd looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McRedd looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McRedd!
McRedd cracks Parrotface with a big right hand but Parrotface just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Parrotface avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McRedd.

McRedd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McRedd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McRedd goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Parrotface has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McRedd but great work by Parrotface.
