No joy there for McGruger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McGruger connects with a good right hand that stumbles Boyka. Boyka circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

This one could be over very soon! McGruger goes limp - he's gone! Boyka jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicolai Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigfredo Pineda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Romanov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Max Webster- The Party. The crowd seem to be enjoying Pineda's choice of entrance music: Now or Never by Dope. Sigfredo Pineda acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romanov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pineda sprawls well initially but Romanov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Romanov connects with a nice short shot to Pineda's temple.

Pineda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
