This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Donny Dane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ali Bang!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dane fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bang looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Bang falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dane slips a jab and a cross from Bang.
Dane avoids the head kick by Bang.
Dane doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Dane avoids the head kick by Bang.
Bang fails with the takedown
and Dane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Dane sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Bang tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown by Bang or perhaps it was just good defense by Dane which made him look bad.
Bang scores with a head kick. Dane tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Bang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bang defending well as Dane loads up on a big left hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dane shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bang eats them both and turns towards Dane to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bang cracks Dane with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bang moves forwards but Dane connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ali Bang seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bang throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dane.
Ali Bang is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Dane catches Bang with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bang keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bang tries to clinch
and Dane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dane's waist but Dane gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bang off to one side.

and Dane takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bang pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dane is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Bang steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dane.

Donny Dane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Bang counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Dane's corner calls for a 1-2. Dane obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bang tries to clinch but Dane moves out of range.
Bang is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dane.
Bang shoots for a takedown but Dane saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Donny Dane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ali Bang.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Donny Dane.
I think Bang has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
