The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero misses with a body shot.
Zero looks to land a combination but Long avoids it well.
Long lunges at Zero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Zero's hand.
Zero takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Long connects with a nice looking jab.
Zero misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Long.
Zero takes one on the button.
Zero throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Long counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Zero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Long bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Zero's head backwards.
Sub Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Long circles away quickly and effectively.
Zero shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Zero stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Long.

Long fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Zero to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Zero looks to clinch but Long throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Zero taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nichols connects with a nice short shot to Pickett's temple.

Pickett finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Nichols's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Pickett falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
