Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Tapout!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dardadan Kakadan!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tapout gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kakadan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Tapout working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kakadan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kakadan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kakadan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tapout looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tapout looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tapout!

Tapout is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kakadan can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kakadan is controlling an arm, preventing Tapout from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Tapout has hold of Kakadan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kakadan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kakadan is desperately trying to improve his position but Tapout has a good base and remains in mount.

Kakadan has Tapout pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tapout manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Tapout's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kakadan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tapout stacks Kakadan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tapout!
