The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fry!
McNutt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Fry counters with a beautiful punch that sends McNutt to the canvas!

McNutt is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Fry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McNutt is still in real trouble! Can Fry finish him?
Fry postures up in McNutt's guard and throws a big left but McNutt blocks it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McNutt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fry throws a strike but McNutt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McNutt is fighting to break Fry's control of his arms but Fry is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

McNutt wants to control from the top but Fry keeps moving.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fry feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McNutts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Fry loads up on a big left hand. McNutt felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Fry looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! McNutt can't hide his disappointment, as Fry celebrates the victory.
