The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tweedie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Loin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tweedie checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Tweedie throws a right and a left that both miss.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Loin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tweedie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iwan Matwijenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Matwijenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hас баxamo!. John Thomas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Good leg kick by Matwijenko there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Matwijenko tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thomas.
Thomas misses with a body shot.
Thomas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Matwijenko thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Thomas if he has to take too many more of those.
A solid leg kick lands there for Matwijenko.
Matwijenko plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like John Thomas has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Matwijenko connects with a looping right hand.
Thomas shoots for a takedown but Matwijenko saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Thomas throws a wild hook but Matwijenko just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Thomas gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Matwijenko raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
