The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Severyn circles away.

Severyn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rodriguez is trying to defend but Severyn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pipinger comes into the arena with On Wings of Integrity- Mychildren Mybride blaring out of the sound system. Worner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. lets go by lil john kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Austin Worner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Pipinger closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Worner to the mat! Worner manages to get full guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pipinger has hold of Worner's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Worner tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Pipinger cranks the arm and Worner screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Worner, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Bee will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nelson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bee but great work by Nelson.
