The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calderon has closed the distance and engaged Manabu in a clinch.

Manabu has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Calderon regains guard immediately.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Calderon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Manabu is controlling him.

Manabu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Calderon dives on top into guard.

Manabu is looking to sinch up a triangle. Calderon throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Manabu's body to avoid the submission. Manabu has instead reached around Calderon's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Manabu arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ismail has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ismail is squeezing on Ricardo like an anaconda would it's prey. Ricardo fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

A fine choice. Joe Young had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Joe Young could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Charles Bennett's chin.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Castle lands a nice hook to Materazzi's body. Materazzi takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Materazzi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Castle - the referee stops the clock and Materazzi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Castle. Materazzi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Castle throws a leg kick which misses Materazzi's front leg but catches the back leg as Materazzi tries to avoid it.

Marco Materazzi's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Castle shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Materazzi eats them both and turns towards Castle to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
