The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Maughan tries to sprawl out of it but Attrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maughan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maughan looks to land a left hand but Attrick moved out of range nicely.
Maughan tries to clinch up but Attrick circles away and keeps his distance.
Maughan throws a series of punches but Attrick avoids them all with ease.
Attrick will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Maughan jabs Attrick right on the nose. Attrick blinks but takes it well.
Maughan tries to land a front kick but Attrick steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maughan throws a right and a left that both miss.
A slow jab from Maughan misses its intended target.
Attrick shoots for a takedown but Maughan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jerry Attrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Maughan connects with a right that clearly hurt Attrick. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Maughan proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Attrick collapses and taps out under the pressure!

Wilson Maughan decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
