It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cartwright pushes Vegh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Vegh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Cartwright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vegh. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vegh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vegh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Vegh lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Cartwright down.

Cartwright is pushing Vegh's head away, looking to escape. Vegh manages to hold on to the position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Arnold Vegh just wasn't active enough.
Cartwright tries for a takedown but Vegh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Vegh lands with a nice combination. Cartwright backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Dante Cartwright has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cartwright on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vegh. Vegh obviously looking to wear him down.
Vegh knocks out Cartwright with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Vegh before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Vegh picks up the big W with a huge KO!

A relieved looking Arnold Vegh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
