Gerard slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gerard scores with a one two! Overeem had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Maxim Overeem has been cut.
Overeem closes the distance but Gerard moves to the side
and Gerard counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gerard lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gerard throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Overeem stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Overeem takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gerard lands a really nice looking cross but Overeem seems unphased.
That kick from Overeem tenderised Gerard's leg. Gerard is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gerard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A jab from Gerard does it's job there.
Gerard feints and then cracks Overeem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Overeem down.

Gerard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Overeem sprawling to the canvas! Overeem rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gerard finish him?!

Gerard drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Overeem right on the button. Overeem goes down! Gerard follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Gerard gets the win via TKO!

Berrao shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Berrao to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Berrao jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Berrao.
Berrao stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
