Amos moves in looking to clinch but Gastelu pushes him off.

Amos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gastelu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gastelu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gastelu!

They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gastelu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Miranda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mogul Khan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dean was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan.
Dean throws a right and a left that Khan avoids nicely.
Dean lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dean moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Dean tries to close the distance and clinch but Khan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dean sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dean tries to clinch up.
Khan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Khan throws a leg kick
and Dean counters with a straight right hand.
Dean wants to clinch.
Khan keeps the fight on the outside.
Dean throws a head kick that misses.
Dean is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dean checks the leg kick.

Dean tries to clinch but Khan is having none of it.

Khan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Khan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Dean fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Dean throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Dean misses with a short punch on the inside.
Dean throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Khan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dean doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Dean pushes Khan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Dean lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Khan displaying some good clinch control by pressing Dean up against the cage.
Dean looking to throw knees to the head but Khan is blocking nicely.
Dean with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Still in the clinch, Dean scores with a nice short uppercut.
Khan wants to break free but Dean has control.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Khan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Khan blocks an elbow strike from Dean.
A head punch on the inside from Dean fails to land.

Dean manages to break the clinch.
Khan moves out of range as Dean strikes.

Dean pushes Khan up against the cage in a clinch.
Dean gets underhooks to prevent Khan's takedown attempt.
Dean with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Dean lands a left hand that snaps the head of Khan backwards.
Khan wants to stall.

Khan pulls Dean into guard.
Khan is trying to control the position but Dean postures up.
Dean throws a strike but Khan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Dean keeping full guard, as Khan tries to pass.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Khan wants to control from the top but Dean keeps moving.

Dean is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Khan is aware though and is defending well.
Khan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dean is keeping the position for now.

Dean looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dean keeping full guard, as Khan tries to pass.
Khan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Khan trying to control but Dean is working from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Khan looking to improve position, pressing down on Dean's thigh with his hand. Dean seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Khan paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Khan's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Dean picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
