Kent comes to the cage accompanied by Shoot To Thrill by AC/DC. Jack Sparrow told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jamie Daniel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Daniel misses with a combination
and Calamote counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Daniel is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Daniel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Calamote manages to avoid it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calamote accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Calamote trying to control the position from guard on top but Daniel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Paulo Calamote hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Daniel throws a right hand that misses
and Calamote counters with a nice leg kick.
Calamote shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daniel sprawls well. Daniel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Calamote gets slowly back to his feet.
Daniel connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Calamote momentarily.
A lazy left from Calamote finds it's target.
Daniel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Calamote fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Daniel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Daniel closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Daniel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Calamote counters with a good low kick that Daniel was not able to check.
Calamote bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Daniel's head backwards.
Calamote throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Daniel throws a right and a left that Calamote avoids nicely.
Daniel has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Calamote.
Donk. Calamote catches Daniel right on the button with a cross.
Daniel misses with a hook.
Calamote scores with a leg kick.
Calamote thuds his shin into the meat of Daniel's side.
Daniel is breathing heavily.
Calamote lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Daniel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Calamote can pounce on him.

Daniel takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Calamote thuds his shin into the meat of Daniel's side.
Daniel misses with a double jab
and as Daniel loses concentration momentarily, Calamote counters with a picture perfect head kick! Daniel goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
