Friedricksen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Pursuit of Vikings by Amon Amarth. Kroepoek has chosen Escape from the Hostile as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Kroepoek crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Friedricksen - the referee stops the clock and Kroepoek gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Friedricksen. Kroepoek manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

I think Holmes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Queen - We are the champions. The crowd seem to be enjoying Petrov's choice of entrance music: Schweine. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holmes pinned against the ropes. Holmes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Petrov moves away from the strike by Holmes.
Holmes ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Petrov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Petrov there as he acknowledges the shot.
Petrov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Holmes counters with a nice uppercut.
Petrov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Holmes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Holmes wants it to stay on the feet.
Sherlok Holmes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimir Petrov.
Holmes cracks Petrov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Petrov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
