Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Teddy Sheehan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Safire!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Safire tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sheehan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sheehan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Safire is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Safire tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sheehan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sheehan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Safire tries to avoid it but Sheehan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Safire to the ground. Safire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sheehan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sheehan misses with a takedown attempt - Safire sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teddy Sheehan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Safire rushes Sheehan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Safire turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Safire manages to end up in side control.

This one could be over very soon! Sheehan goes limp - he's gone! Safire jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Gunn throws a leg kick which misses Secunda's front leg but catches the back leg as Secunda tries to avoid it.
