Kang tries to clinch but Awesome is having none of it.
Awesome lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kang circles away quickly and effectively.
Awesome lands a head kick!

It looks like Kenji Kang has been cut.

Awesome shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kang napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Awesome throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Kang's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Awesome dives in looking to finish as Kang flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Awesome's strikes! Awesome is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Kang's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Kang was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Ctvrtlik feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Ctvrtlik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ctvrtlik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ctvrtlik has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Twitch has cracked LeBlanc with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Twitch lands another huge swinging hook and LeBlanc tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save LeBlanc, before Twitch can land any more shots!
