The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricard throws a nice looking combination but Zak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Frank Ricard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ricard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zak.

Ricard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zak's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eddie Pringle.
