The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Murakami lands an impressive looking overhand right. Worner doesn't seem phased though.
Murakami paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Worner drops his hands momentarily and Murakami takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Murakami gets the takedown into side control.

Murakami thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Worner is not content to let Murakami control the position.

Maldonado has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Swoop is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maldonado.
