Wriedt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Savchuk sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wriedt somewhat.

Wriedt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savchuk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Wriedt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wriedt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pontes throws an elbow that misses. Almasy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pontes's guard. Nice move by Almasy!
Pontes has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pontes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Almasy stacks Pontes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Almasy!

Almasy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pontes to his feet.
Auron Almasy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pontes misses with a takedown attempt - Almasy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
