Brawl Leer had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Brawl Leer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Doolan bounces back off the cage towards Leer, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Leer lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Leer celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Melendez drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Askren manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Melendez has Askren in his guard.

Oh but Melendez is tightening it up a little... Askren has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
