The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brinehall tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Brinehall instigates a clinch.

Brinehall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dean just stands there and leans against the ropes.

Brinehall shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dean defends it nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alba shoots in but Backstrom avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Backstrom swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Backstrom is looking to clinch but Alba is avoiding it.
Alba fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Alba feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Alba decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Alba closes this distance looking for a takedown but Backstrom circles away.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jameson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Jameson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Jameson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Smith won't be happy with that.

and Jameson counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jameson advances to half guard.
Jameson is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jameson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jameson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Jameson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
