Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shia LaBeouf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Montross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think LaBeouf might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gut You. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Montross!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montross tries to clinch but LaBeouf moves out of range.
Montross falls off balance throwing a combination

and LaBeouf counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
LaBeouf is stalling in the full guard.
LaBeouf with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
LaBeouf controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
LaBeouf chips away with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LaBeouf drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and LaBeouf jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Montross preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
LaBeouf is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

LaBeouf thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
LaBeouf is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
LaBeouf seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Montross for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Shia LaBeouf just wasn't active enough.

LaBeouf feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cuschenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Homma avoids it really well and circles away.
Cuschenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Homma misses with a low kick as Cuschenko jumps back.
Homma stuffs the takedown attempt from Cuschenko. Cuschenko gets slowly back to his feet.
Masaharu Homma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vlaimir Cuschenko.
Homma is looking to slow Cuschenko down with leg kicks.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cuschenko is defended easily by Homma.

Cuschenko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Homma tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cuschenko is in Homma's guard.
Homma on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Homma tries to get out of the position.

Cuschenko seems to have locked his on tight now - Homma screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cuschenko, as he picks up the win!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Juarez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jones. Juarez shrugs it off though.
Juarez is breathing heavily.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

It looks like Johnson Juarez has been cut.

Juarez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Juarez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jones looks to land a right hand but Juarez moved out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Juarez needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dwayne Howard hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
