Well Chan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Rage connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mon takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rage stalks Mon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mon's face. Mon staggers backwards, shaken.
Rage lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rage pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mon back to the cage. Rage follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mon on the side of the head.
Mon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Mcdonald stalks Minonzio and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Minonzio's face. Minonzio staggers backwards, shaken.
Mcdonald swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Minonzio uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mcdonald.
Mcdonald connects with a nice looking jab.

Mcdonald shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Minonzio manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcdonald postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mcdonald keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Minonzio's head.

Mcdonald rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Minonzio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A lazy left from Mcdonald finds it's target.
Minonzio stuffs the takedown attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Minonzio enables Mcdonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Minonzio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mcdonald lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Minonzio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Mcdonald fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Minonzio sprawls well initially but Mcdonald persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mcdonald takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mcdonald misses with a head shot. Minonzio uses the momentum to regain guard.

Mcdonald has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcdonald is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mcdonald must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mcdonald won't allow Minonzio to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
