The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nakamura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hathaway tries to avoid it but Nakamura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hathaway to the ground. Hathaway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hathaway creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Nakamura's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Nakamura drops to his knees and Hathaway pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
