I think Johanson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cult of Personality. Leon Villar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johanson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nice takedown defense from Johanson. No joy for Villar on that attempt. Villar drives through with a takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Villar trying to control the position from guard on top but Johanson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Villar showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johanson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Johanson wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Leon Villar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Johanson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Villar is fending him off so far but Johanson persists. Nope, Villar circles away and we're back to standing. Johanson shoots in and drives through. Villar sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Albert Johanson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johanson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Villar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Johanson off and has taken his back! Johanson breaks Villar's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Villar utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Villar is trying to control the position but Johanson postures up. Villar keeping full guard, as Johanson tries to pass. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Villar holds on and takes a little breather. Villar is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Villar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Johanson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Villar on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Leon Villar was stalling too much, according to the referee. Johanson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Villar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Villar fails with the takedown and Johanson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Villar has his foot on Johanson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johanson works his way back into a safe position though. Johanson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Villar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Johanson doesn't defend quickly enough and Villar has managed to lock this one up! Can Johanson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Villar on a fantastic submission victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samack looks to land a left hand but Milnes moved out of range nicely. Milnes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Milnes slows the pace down in half guard. Samack has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Milnes is working away from the top position though. Well, if Milnes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Head looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Head swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Santos. Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Head pinned against the ropes. Head gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Head throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely. Santos throws a series of punches but Head moves out of range. Head works the jab nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Santos. Santos misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Santos doesn't manage to clinch there - Head circles away.
Head feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Santoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Rafael Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! It's a brutal combination of punches from Head! Santos is backing up but he can't get away as Head lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Santos and ends the fight. Great knockout.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kviser is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kviser is trying to control the position but Bohlander postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kviser has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bohlander can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Bohlander looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Bohlander lands a couple of elbows.

I think Bohlander should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kviser has tightened it up now! Bohlander should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
