The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torquemada misses with a hook
and Nogueira makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Nogueira takes a jab right on the kisser.
Torquemada scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Ricardo Nogueira has been cut.
Xavier Torquemada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Torquemada swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Torquemada lands with a shot to the body.
Torquemada tries to score with a low kick but Nogueira moves his leg out of the way.
Torquemada connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Torquemada drops Nogueira with a right and a left! Torquemada comes rushing in but Nogueira regains his composure and manages to keep Torquemada in guard.

Nogueira is rocked!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Torquemada postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Nogueira covers up, he's hurt! Torquemada keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Torquemada and the ref steps in to end the fight! Torquemada can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xavier Torquemada!
