The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pile tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Coogan is able to avoid easily.
Pile misses with a low kick.
Coogan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Coogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pile's waist but Pile gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coogan off to one side.
Coogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pile pinned against the cage. Pile gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pile thuds a left hand into Coogan's body.

Coogan moves to clinch but Pile breaks away
and Pile counters with a straight right hand.
Pile lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Pile lands with a straight right. Coogan didn't see that one coming.
Private Pile seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coogan needs to keep his hands up - Pile had a free shot at his head there.
Pile fails to land with a series of punches.

Coogan tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Pile counters with a flying knee. Nice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pile lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Coogan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pile feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Coogan's calf.

Pile misses with a series of wild punches.
Coogan takes a swing at Pile's ribcage but misses.
Pile is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Pile throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good leg kick by Pile there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Coogan misses with a series of wild punches.

Nice sprawl there from Pile as Coogan shoots in.
Private Pile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Coogan.
Coogan blocks a low kick nicely.
Private Pile is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pile connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pile scores with a spinning back kick!
A solid leg kick lands there for Pile.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Coogan takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Coogan takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Pile scores with a head kick. Coogan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Rob Coogan has been cut.
Coogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pile pinned against the cage. Pile gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Coogan shoots and misses
and Pile counters with a series of strikes. Coogan will be more careful next time no doubt.
Pile pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pile connects with a leg kick. Coogan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

A jab from Pile finds it's way through Coogan's defenses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pile, right into the meat.
Pile connects with a looping right hand.
Pile goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Pile swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Coogan.
Pile lands a really nice looking cross but Coogan seems unphased.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pile throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A jab from Pile does it's job there.
Pile goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Coogan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pile.
Pile throws a sloppy head kick and Coogan moves out of range easily.
Pile is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Pile bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Coogan's head.
Pile is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Coogan can do to turn this around?
Pile throws a nice inside leg kick.
Pile throws a leg kick which misses Coogan's front leg but catches the back leg as Coogan tries to avoid it.
Pile lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pile lands with a hook. Coogan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Pile lands an overhand right.

That kick from Pile tenderised Coogan's leg. Coogan is trying to keep his angry face on.
Pile throws a quick inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pile misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pile connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pile throws a head kick that Coogan semi-blocks.
Coogan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Private Pile dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Rob Coogan's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Pile lands a nice leg kick that just misses Coogan's sensitive parts.
Pile cracks the inside of Coogan's front leg.
A nice leg kick lands there from Pile.
Pile lands with a nice body punch.
Pile connects with a single shot there.
Pile scores with a push kick.
Coogan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pile scores with a one two! Coogan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Coogan has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Coogan shoots in and drives through. Pile sprawls well.
Pile feints and then cracks Coogan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Coogan down.
Coogan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Pile lands with a kick to the ribs.
Pile lands a jab to Coogan's midsection.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A jab from Pile does it's job there.

Pile's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Pile duly obliges.
Pile lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Pile rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coogan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Coogan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pile - the referee stops the clock and Coogan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pile. Coogan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Coogan walks into a stiff left hand from Pile.
Pile lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Pile scores with a jab. Coogan acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Coogan takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Pile throws a head kick that half lands.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pile lands the left hand.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Coogan might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Pile has got the better of the exchanges.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pile delivers a nice body kick.
Private Pile is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Coogan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Rob Coogan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Coogan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pile.

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Storm Garp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chambers has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Storm Garp was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Garp scores with a jab to the head.
Garp attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Garp throws a right hand that Chambers ducks under and follows up with a left that Chambers also avoids with ease.
Garp misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chambers.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Garp! Chambers is backing up but he can't get away as Garp lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Chambers and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Storm Garp!

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Cordova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikita Krushev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krushev comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Forever Lost kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Freddy Cordova looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Oooooh!!! Krushev has knocked Cordova down with a huge combo! Krushev steps away and waves a wobbly Cordova back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Cordova throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oh Cordova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Krushev throws a head kick but Cordova moves out of range.

Krushev lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cordova at a distance.
Cordova is breathing heavily.
Cordova looks to throw the jab but Krushev is out of range.
Krushev finds Cordova's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Cordova flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Krushev lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Cordova will be OK.
