The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear misses with a few strikes there.
Bear displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Zaytsaev.
Zaytsaev shoots in looking for a takedown. Bear tries to sprawl out of it but Zaytsaev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bear manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zaytsaev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bear but Bear pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sugar Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigorin Zaytsaev.
Zaytsaev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bear sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Zaytsaev has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bear's face.
Bear knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zaytsaev on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ledford has left one of his arms exposed and Hamsho doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ledford screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Richards takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Richards will probably get the nod.

Ang throws a nice looking combination but Richards bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Richards lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
