Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burenko throws a sloppy head kick and Cummins moves out of range easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Burenko enables Cummins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Burenko manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Burenko is looking to stand up but Cummins isn't so interested in that idea.

Cummins gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Cummins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cummins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
