Barrymore shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott tries to sprawl out of it but Barrymore keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Scott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Scott lands a big head kick that sends Barrymore tumbling to the mat! Scott takes a step backwards and waves Barrymore back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Theopolis Barrymore has been cut.

Scott dives in looking to finish as Barrymore flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Scott's strikes! Scott is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Barrymore's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Barrymore was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
