Gonzales throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scotch sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Gonzales throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scotch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Leopold Scotch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gonzales bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Scotch's head backwards.
Scotch takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Scotch tries for a takedown but Gonzales sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Gonzales circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scotch lands a jab to the head.
Scotch seems to have got his legs back now.
Gonzales thows a body shot but no joy.
Gonzales stalks Scotch and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scotch's face. Scotch staggers backwards, shaken.
Scotch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Scotch closes the distance and clinches up with Gonzales, looking for a takedown. Scotch pushes Gonzales against the cage but Gonzales circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gonzales darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Gonzales swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Scotch shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonzales napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gonzales is trying to control Scotch's posture but Scotch avoids it.
Gonzales is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Scotch content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonzales is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gonzales is trying to control the position but Scotch postures up.
Scotch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gonzales has his foot on Scotch's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scotch works his way back into a safe position though.
Scotch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonzales swivels though and keeps the full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scotch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gonzales's head.
Gonzales has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Scotch is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gonzales is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Scotch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Scotch's back!

Scotch is backing up but Gonzales catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Scotch covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Gonzales Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Kato stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kato wants it to stay on the feet.

Kato fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burkshire looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burkshire drops his hands momentarily and Kato takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Burkshire fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kato avoids it really well and circles away.

Burkshire shoots in looking for a takedown but Kato manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burkshire's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sun Kato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Burkshire.

Burkshire takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kato sends Burkshire crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kato is motioning to the referee to let Burkshire up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Nigel Burkshire has been cut.
Kato lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Burkshire falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

A relieved looking Sun Kato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
